Advanced prostate cancer that HAS NOT spread

Non-metastatic castration-sensitive prostate cancer (nmCSPC) with high risk of cancer spreading

If you have this type of advanced prostate cancer, it has not spread to other parts of your body (non-metastatic); however, the cancer responds to hormone therapy or surgical treatment for lowering testosterone (castration-sensitive), and you are at high risk of cancer spreading to other parts of your body.

Non-metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (nmCRPC):

If you have this type of advanced prostate cancer, it has not spread to other parts of your body (non-metastatic); however, the cancer no longer responds to hormone therapy or surgical treatment for lowering testosterone (castration-resistant).

Metastatic castration-sensitive prostate cancer (mCSPC):

If you have this type of advanced prostate cancer, it has spread to other parts of your body (metastatic); however, the cancer responds to hormone therapy or surgical treatment for lowering testosterone (castration-sensitive).

Metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC):

If you have this type of advanced prostate cancer, it has spread to other parts of the body (metastatic), and the cancer no longer responds to hormone therapy or surgical treatment for lowering testosterone (castration-resistant).
